Summer Girl

Introduction

As you can see, in this example we teach you how to create some simple anatomic movements on a picture of a girl. As you can see in the clip, there is a girl moving slightly. The background is a picture that we used on another effect on Flash Water Effects, so you can combine the two effects to create a great one. So what we used for this effect is a picture with a nude girl (which we censored because we believe there are a lot of kids learning Flash). Now you have 2 ways of obtaining only the girl. You can delete the rest of the picture in flash or you can use another program (PhotoShop for example) which is specialized on this kind of work and save the picture with an extension that permits the pic to be totally transparent in some places (.png is often used ). So now that we have the background and the girl, how do we place them in the Stage?

The Effect

So we place the background on the last layer, of course, and the girl on the next upper layer. Ignore the rest layers. Convert "the girl" into a Movie Clip and open it for edit. If you do that on the source file you will notice that we have for layers. The technique was to split the girl into three different parts, each of them having a different role into the animation.

As you can see in the picture we have 4 areas, three are from the picture with the girl and the fourth contains some adding we did to recreate parts of the body in the key points of the animations. We will speak about each layer and its role in the animation.

The layer "Right foot" contains the Movie Clip with the motion of the foot. Look carefully how we did the cut and the double lick the Movie Clip in the source file. We cut the leg into two pieces, one from the knee up and one from the knee down. So the knee is the common area. We placed those areas on two different layers so we could do a clean motion.

We tried to recreate an anatomical movement of the right leg, working just like we showed in the picture above.

On the next layer we put all the static part of the girl.

Now on the third layer we placed the head inside a Movie Clip. If you double Click that Clip you will understand how we did the head's motion. As you can see we moved the head from its initial position to a lower position because that will not create any holes. But if there are any places where there are gaps you have to adjust them We did that in the last layer where we added some color where needed.

This is only an example folks!! Use you're brain to make you're own girl move as you wish!
